home care
Proper home care leads to better overall health and, ultimately, fewer trips
to the dentist.
This is the single most important area for you, as a patient, when considering
how you can help your own oral health and health in general.
- Brush
at least twice a day with a soft toothbrush and plain toothpaste containing
fluoride
- Floss
daily - Special
flossing tools may be necessary to aid the flossing process.
- Rinse
with a mouth rinse if you so desire.
Some
people require more home care depending on their teeth, gums, bone, genetics,
and diet.
For those who have a difficult time with a manual toothbrush, we recommend
an electric toothbrush (Sonicare).
If you
have other problems or a history of difficulty preventing cavities, bone
loss, gum disease, or other oral condition then we will custom design a
prevention program for you.
